The Town of Reading’s Department of Public Works is hosting a Recycling Day to help residents safely and responsibly dispose of a variety of household items not accepted in curbside recycling.

Electronics collection

Residents can drop off:

• Flatscreen TVs, computers, and small electronics

• Note: CRT TVs and monitors will NOT be accepted

Paper shredding

• Secure, on-site shredding available

• Limit of one box per household

Rigid plastics & styrofoam collection

• Rigid plastics such as toys, plastic chairs, and containers

• Clean, white #6 styrofoam clocks and sheets only

• NO food containers or colored styrofoam

Textile Collection (simple recycling)

• Clothing, textiles, and related items are accepted
