Explore our Commonwealth's spectral and spooky in this presentation devoted to all things macabre in Massachusetts history.
Every State has its ghost stories, but no other state has the Dover Demon or the Salem Witch Trials. From sea-side ghosts to UFOs over the Berkshires, Massachusetts has a rich history of paranormal legend, odd events, and strange denizens. In this presentation we have a look at some of the most famous Massachusetts paranormal history.
Sarah Hodge-Wetherbe is a librarian in Springfield, MA. In her secret identity of Geekgal, she tours New England, lecturing on various aspects of geek culture. She has performed for all types of venues, from the Norman Rockwell Museum to Anime Boston. Her favorite creature is Mothman, she takes her Earl Grey hot, and hopes to retire to her very own hobbit hole someday.
This program is made possible through the kind generosity of The Friends of the Reading Public Library.
