Join the Reading Town Forest Committee for a guided hike with expert Walter Kittredge to learn more about the plants and trees in the Reading Town Forest! This event is open to all abilities and ages. Be sure to bring water, comfortable walking shoes, and a sense of curiosity!
Walter Kittredge began an entirely new venture in 2020 after retiring from his 44-year career as a Curatorial Assistant at a world-renowned Harvard University Herbaria by opening a native plant nursery called Oakhaven Sanctuary. As a Botanist, Walter uses his expertise to support the growing interest in native plants and continues to research local floristics.
