Additional pop-up vaccine clinics scheduled in Reading as respiratory illnesses rise

In response to a rising number of respiratory and flu-related illnesses, the Reading Public Health Department and the Reading School Department have announced additional pop-up vaccine clinics for residents next week.

The clinics are being offered to increase access to vaccines and help protect the community during a period of heightened illness. Residents are encouraged to register in advance using the link provided below.

Wednesday, January 21

Time: 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Location: Pleasant Street Center (49 Pleasant Street)

Thursday, January 22

Time: 3:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Location: Reading Public Library (64 Middlesex Avenue)

Friday, January 23

Time: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Location: Coolidge Middle School (89 Birch Meadow Drive)

Protecting community health

Town and school officials encourage residents to take advantage of these additional clinics as part of ongoing efforts to reduce the spread of seasonal illnesses and protect vulnerable populations.

Residents with questions about vaccines or clinic availability are encouraged to contact the Reading Public Health Department or consult their healthcare provider.

Additional clinics may be scheduled if demand continues.
