Celebrate Freedom at Reading’s Annual Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, June 20 from 1:00-5:00pm

Reading Public Library, Reading, MA—On Saturday, June 20, join us in commemorating Juneteenth, a day of reflection, celebration, and community.

Juneteenth honors the day, June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved people in Texas were declared free, marking the true end of slavery in the United States. This celebration is not only a moment of remembrance but also a joyful, intergenerational experience that centers education, culture, and community.

Come together with neighbors and friends to enjoy performances, local art, food, and meaningful conversations as we recognize freedom and continue the journey toward equity and justice. A schedule of events and vendor list will be shared soon!
