Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—Just in time for the start of Library Card Sign-up Month some of our dedicated Public Safety officers, including Officer Cooper, signed up for Reading Public Library cards! They’re ready to discover some of the many fun and educational possibilities available with a Reading Public Library card.
Your library card opens the door to endless opportunities from streaming entertainment, health and job resources, homework help, discounted museum passes, to the Library of Things - try out a metal detector or trail camera!

During Library Card Sign-Up month you can discover how today’s public libraries offer a smart way to stay connected to our community. The Library is for everyone—no matter your age, background, or goals. Whether you're diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a free library card.
At the Reading Public Library, you can:
Check out books, magazines, and music - including streaming on Libby.
Hear an author discuss their latest work, or join a book group.
Borrow a wide array of tools, educational toys, and games through the Library of Things collection.
Learn a new tech skill, or search out your ancestors with our Local History Librarian.
