Reading, MA—Celebrate Juneteenth with a family-friendly afternoon on the Town Common. This year, the Festival features a Community Conversation held at Old South Church at 1:30 pm, and a Cultural Arts program with music, student performances, and more. There will be face painting and activities for children, food, and a pop-up market. Here’s a look at what’s happening!

The community will come together to read excerpts from Frederick Douglass’ 1852 speech, What to the slave is the Fourth of July?
