Explore the Reading Town Forest on a guided Bird Walk

Are you curious about the feathered residents of the Reading Town Forest, as well as the many seasonal visitors who stop by during migration? The Town Forest Committee is hosting a guided Bird Walk with experienced birder and educator Dave Williams on Friday, October 4, from 8:30 to 10:30 am.
Participants will meet at the Grove Street parking lot before heading out on an easy-paced walk through the forest. Birders of all ages and abilities are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring water, curiosity, binoculars (if available), and comfortable walking shoes.
About the guide
Dave Williams brings more than 40 years of birdwatching experience and 37 years as a middle school science teacher. He has led countless bird walks for the Brookline Bird Club and Mass Audubon, where he also served as President of the Brookline Bird Club. Williams completed the Massachusetts Audubon Birder’s Certificate Program and attended the National Audubon’s Field Ornithology program on Hog Island, Maine.
