Lynn School Committee Member Lenny Peña Endorses Dan Koh
“Dan will fight to ensure our schools have the resources they need and that every family in the Sixth District has a fair shot”
PEABODY, MA – Today, Lynn School Committee Member Lenny Peña announced his endorsement of Dan Koh in the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District primary.
"Lynn's students and families deserve a champion in Washington, someone who understands the real challenges facing our community and has the experience to do something about it. As a School Committee Member, I've dedicated myself to building a stronger future for Lynn's children, and I'm proud to endorse Dan Koh because I know he shares that same commitment. Dan will fight to ensure our schools have the resources they need and that every family in the Sixth District has a fair shot,” said Peña.
Koh expressed his appreciation for Peña’s support, recognizing his years of service to Lynn’s families and calling for more investments in public education.
“The son of an immigrant and a lifelong Lynn resident, Committee Member Peña turned his own experience into service to the community that raised him. I’m proud to have his support in this race,” said Koh. “In Lynn and in cities and towns across this country, public education has come under attack because Trump would rather defund our schools than defend our students. Enough is enough. From Boston City Hall to the White House, I’ve fought to invest in public education. Our students and teachers deserve better, and in Congress, I’ll challenge anyone who tries to treat our students as line items to cut.”
Koh’s campaign has gained critical momentum thanks to over 100 endorsements from local and national elected officials and community leaders, union locals, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Secretary Pete Buttigieg, while raising a record-breaking $4.5M+ since launch, a record for an MA House candidate.
