MA-6 Leaders endorse Jaime Belsito for Congress as Grassroots Momentum Builds for Independent, Progressive Representation
Belsito also recognized with Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction, Mental Health Now Candidate designation
Topsfield, MA — Today, Jamie Belsito was proud to announce nine new endorsements from local, regional, and national leaders who believe she stands out as the best candidate to represent the people and communities of Massachusetts’ Sixth Congressional district. The slate of new supporters highlights Belsito’s broad, growing coalition across labor, reproductive freedom, municipal, and youth leaders as the campaign’s momentum accelerates ahead of the September 1 primary election.
“I am honored to have the support of so many dedicated leaders from every corner of our district,” Belsito said. “We are building an independent, grassroots movement that refuses the influence of special, outside interests. Working families of the North Shore deserve a representative in Washington who has walked in their shoes and won’t apologize for fighting on their behalf. Our momentum is undeniable and together we are ready to make history.”
New endorsements of Jamie’s candidacy include:
Liz Bradt, Chair, Salem Democratic City Committee: “Jamie Belsito will stand with working families and fight for our housing, our healthcare and a fair economy that works for families, retired folks, immigrants and workers. She has pledged to reject corporate PAC money and will never be bought by corporate America.”
Dexter Lee-Viator, Essex Select Board: “I support Jamie because we need her North Shore tenacity in Washington. Jamie has the energy to take on a system that is becoming increasingly stacked against the working people of our district and this country. I believe that Jamie will fight every day for working families, and not just special interests and corporations.”
Ryan Lloyd, Chair, YDMA Veterans Caucus Chair: “Since returning home from military service, even before she was a candidate, Jamie was the first person who not only thanked me for my service, but also asked what more could be done to support our men and women in uniform. There was a genuine sense of care that went beyond the usual words of appreciation. Jamie is not another political insider content to play the games that have frustrated voters for too long. She is willing to stand up, speak out, and challenge the decisions that continue to drag us into unnecessary conflicts based off a presidential temper tantrum. Jamie is a proven fighter who is not afraid to take on tough challenges and deliver the results that the people of this district deserve. That is why I am proud to endorse her candidacy for Congress.”
John Mullady, Councilor At-Large, Beverly City Council: “Jamie understands what it means to be a working parent. Something no consultant, no focus group, or marketing group can teach. She just gets it.”
Palestinian House of New England: “The Palestinian House of New England is proud to endorse Jamie Zahlaway Belsito. Together, let’s elect a leader who will serve our community with integrity, compassion and dedication.”
Matthew Page and Dianne Heeley, North Reading Democratic Town Committee: “Jamie Belsito is the total package: deep ties across the district, on-the-ground knowledge of how Washington works, and the experience, energy, and savvy needed to get key legislation passed and deliver results for her constituents. Her commitment to our shared Democratic values can't be beat. We need Jamie fighting for us and our priorities in Congress.”
Tyree Walker, President, Reading High School Class of 2028: “I’m endorsing Jamie Belsito because it’s time for something new. Today’s youth are calling for bold, progressive leadership and I know Jamie is the leader who will stand with us every step of the way.”
American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists: “The American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists Political Action Committee is proud to endorse Jamie Zahlaway Belsito.”

Receiving this distinction also allows local Moms Demand Action volunteers to participate in field campaign events.
