Neighbors in action: Dana Road family spotted beautifying their corner of Reading

On a quiet Sunday afternoon, residents Linda Snow Dockser and Mark Dockser were reminded of what truly makes Reading special - not just the streets and schools, but the neighbors who quietly step up to care for the community without being asked.
At the intersection of Dana Road and Colonial Drive, Linda and Mark spotted a local family doing just that - cleaning up the island, picking up litter, and making the area just a little brighter for everyone who passes by. When they stopped to thank the family and ask for a quick photo, the family happily agreed.
A big shoutout to Hazel, Sam, Erin, and Mike, residents of Dana Road, for their thoughtful act of service and pride in our town. Their small gesture is a great reminder that caring for the spaces we share doesn’t have to be a big event; it can start with a bag, a pair of gloves, and a little time together.
Moments like this deserve to be seen.
