New Poll: Dan Koh Holds Commanding 19 Point Lead in MA-6 Democratic Primary

Koh is at 34%, nearly double his closest rivals, as voters cast ballots and the September 1 primary approaches.

Peabody, MA – A new poll released today shows Dan Koh with a commanding lead in the crowded Democratic primary to succeed Rep. Seth Moulton in Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District, as voters begin casting ballots with less than a month to go to Election Day.

The survey, conducted by Global Strategy Group from July 30 to August 2, found Koh leading the field with 34% support among 400 likely Democratic primary voters — a 19-point advantage over his nearest competitors. John Beccia is in second place at 15%, followed by state Rep. Tram Nguyen at 14%, Jamie Belsito at 6%, Bethany Andres-Beck at 3%, and Dr. Mariah Lancaster at 3%. Twenty-four percent of respondents remain undecided. The poll carries a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.

"It’s clear that voters in this district are looking for a fighter with experience to take on Trump and represent them in Washington – and we're proud of the momentum this campaign has built by showing up, listening, and laying out a real plan to fight for working families," said Dan Koh. "But polls don't win elections — voters do. We're not taking a single vote for granted, and we're going to keep earning support door by door until September 1."

Koh's rise in the polls comes alongside a string of high-profile endorsements, including from former President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and over a hundred local elected officials and labor unions. Koh has built his campaign around lowering costs for working families, protecting democracy, and standing up to the Trump administration.

With 24% of voters still undecided and the primary less than a month away, the Koh campaign says it is continuing an aggressive schedule of door-knocking, meet and greets, and paid media across the district through Election Day.
