About the project
The overnight work is part of a $16.2M replacement of the Lowell Street (Route 129) bridge over I-93, which MassDOT expects to complete by May 2029. Signage, law enforcement details, and advance message boards will guide drivers through the work area. Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
