Poetry by Richard Perry: Grieve No More
Grieve No More
I heard a voice within my head that whispered, “grieve no more.”
Though you can’t see me, darling, I watch you from heaven’s shore.
You’ve shed so many tears, my love, but now that I am gone
As long as you remember me, I surely will live on.
Some days are hard, I understand, but God has need of you.
You know that I am safe and sound, now you have work to do.
He gave you voice to sing His praise, a way He may be heard,
And now you have another way through the written word.
Your poetry is a precious gift God wants you to share,
So, others may be aware of His constant love and care.
There will still be days you’ll struggle, but I am by your side.
And through all of eternity I’ll always be your bride.
More tears will come from time to time, but God will see you through.
So, grieve no more my darling, I will always be with you.
