The Winds Of Life
The winds of life change frequently as the years go by
Blowing gently, until suddenly dark clouds fill the sky
We can’t predict when change will come and we can’t foresee
What impact these sudden shifts may have on you and me
We live by faith and pray we have the will to carry on
Pushing onward even when we feel our strength is gone
In times like these what we need comes from our very soul
Trusting as we face each storm that God is in control.
Each weathered storm brings new strength, and helps calm our fears
Reminding us to trust the Lord throughout the coming years
By disrupting the routines of our daily life
Hurricanes and blizzards can cause tremendous strife
Lightning flashes and thunder rumbles all across the skies
Causing fear in our hearts and worry in our eyes
Events we know will surely end as the skies clear
We can’t know if the winds of life might again appear
But God is always with us; He’s there to hold our hand
And no matter how deep our fear, he will understand
So, when the winds of life blow strong and fear fills your soul
Fall to your knees, say a prayer, and let God take control
