Reading Democratic Town Committee to host annual “Dinner with the Dems” fundraiser

The Reading Democratic Town Committee (RDTC) invites residents to its annual fall fundraiser, Dinner with the Dems, on Friday, October 17, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Old South Church (6 Salem Street, Reading).

This long-standing community event brings together local Democrats, elected officials, and neighbors for an evening of food, conversation, and connection. Attendees will enjoy a pasta dinner featuring ziti with marianara, meatballs, salad, rolls, and beverages, along with a selection of finger desserts provided by RDTC members.

The evening will also include a silent auction, offering attendees the chance to bid on a variety of items to help support the committee’s ongoing civic engagement efforts.

Confirmed guests include State Representative Rich Haggerty and State Senator Jason Lewis, who will share updates on recent developments at the State House. Additional speakers are expected to join as well.

  • Suggested donation: $20 per person (payable at the door by cash or check)

  • RSVP: Not required - all are welcome!

  • Parking: Available on the street or in nearby town lots, including the Town Hall lot across the street from the church.

Residents are encouraged to bring friends and neighbors who share an interest in local and state issues.
