Reading launches communication project to better connect with residents

The Town of Reading is committed to strengthening its connection with residents and improving how the Town shares important information about local resources, events, and opportunities. To support this goal, the Town is launching a new communication initiative - and they want your input.

As part of this project, the Town is inviting community members to take a brief survey to help the Town better understand your communication preferences, the types of information you value most, and how you’d like to receive updates from the Town.

Visit the project page to learn more.

This effort is funded by a grant from the Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program, which supports initiatives that help communities build resilience and better serve residents. Whether it’s emergency alerts, community programming, or town meeting updates, your feedback will help share a more inclusive and effective communication strategy.

Why this matters

Effective communication ensures residents stay informed, engaged, and connected to their local government. This project will help the Town of Reading:

  • Tailor communication tools to meet community needs

  • Reach residents across all age groups and backgrounds

  • Improve access to town programs and services

  • Strengthen trust and transparency

We look forward to hearing from you - and working together to build a stronger, more connected Reading.
