Reading to honor veterans with Memorial Day Parade and cemetery services

The Town of Reading will once again gather this Memorial Day to remember and honor the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Residents are invited to attend the annual Memorial Day Parade and cemetery services on Monday, May 27, as the community comes together in reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.

Parade and ceremony schedule

  • 9:00 am Memorial Day Parade begins at the American Legion on Ash Street

  • 9:15 am services at Laurel Hill Cemetery

  • 10:45 am services at Forest Glen Cemetery

  • 11:30 am Services at Charles Lawn Cemetery

  • 12:00 pm services at Wood End Cemetery

A community tradition of remembrance

The annual observance provides residents with an opportunity to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by members of the military who gave their lives in service to the country.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend the parade and cemetery ceremonies to help honor veterans and preserve the meaning of Memorial Day for future generations.
