Reading’s biggest community celebration returns to Birch Meadow

Summer in Reading kicks off in style this June. The annual Friends and Family Day celebration returns to Birch Meadow on Saturday, June 20, bringing the whole community together for a day of food, music, activities, and a fireworks finale.

Presented by the Reading Lions Club, the event runs from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and has something for every age. Families can expect food vendors, live music, and activities spread across the Birch Meadow grounds, one of Reading’s most beloved outdoor spaces.

Young visitors will love the classic train ride, a perennial favorite that never fails to draw a crowd. The day wraps up with fireworks, sponsored by Friends of Reading Recreation, making for a festive end-of-spring tradition for residents.
