Reading is scheduled to receive $898,350.30 in state funding assistance for local road and bridge maintenance as part of a multi-billion dollar transportation infrastructure bond bill recently approved by the House of Representatives with the support of House Minority Leader Jones and State Representative Haggerty.

The Reading Fire Department has been awarded an $18,968.15 state Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant for Fiscal Year 2026 through the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security’s Department of Fire Services.
