Town Meeting candidates invited to submit statements for voters
(1-2 minute read)
As the April 7 local election approaches, Town Meeting candidates are encouraged to share their backgrounds and priorities with voters.
Providing a candidate statement helps residents learn more about the individuals seeking to represent their precincts and promotes a more informed electorate ahead of Election Day.
Candidates can submit a brief statement and photo so neighbors can hear directly from them about their goals, experience, and perspectives on local issues.
Those interested in submitting their information can do so using this form.
Once submitted, statements will be published so voters can review them before heading to the polls.
Town Meeting serves as Reading’s legislative body, and the decisions made there shape the community's policies, budgets, and priorities. Providing candidate information gives residents a clearer understanding of who is seeking to serve and what matters most to them.
Residents are encouraged to review the responses as they become available and head to the polls informed on Election Day.
