Women’s League of Reading to host Fall Brewfest benefitting Reading Food Pantry

(4-6 minute read)

The Women’s League of Reading is inviting the community to come together for a fun-filled, family-friendly afternoon - all while supporting a vital local cause. On Sunday, November 2, the League will host its annual Fall Brewfest at Lord Hobo Brewing Co. in Woburn from 12:30 to 4:30 pm, with proceeds directly benefitting the Reading Food Pantry.

What to expect at Brewfest

This year’s Brewfest promises something for everyone:

  • Open bar from 12:30-2:30

  • Kids Craft Corner to keep young ones entertained

  • Live music throughout the afternoon

  • Small bites to enjoy with friends and family

  • Patriots Game at 1 pm on screen

Tickets are on sale now, and the League encourages residents to purchase early to ensure a sell-out event.

Why the Reading Food Pantry?

The Women’s League is proud to select the Reading Food Pantry as the beneficiary of this year’s Brewfest. Serving more than 400 households each month, the Pantry provides essential support for families, seniors, and individuals struggling with food insecurity.

Ensuring access to food is essential to overall quality og life, and supporting the Food Pantry is one way we can directly care for our community. We have a longstanding history of partnering with the Pantry, and we’re honored to continue that tradition by helping them meet their most pressing needs.

Fundraising goals

Last year’s Brewfest raised over $3,000, and the League hopes to surpass that number in 2025. “Our goal is to completely sell out the event,” Sane said. “Every dollar raised will go directly to the Pantry to support urgent needs and keep their shelves stocked.”

In addition to ticket sales, raffles and prize drawings will be held during the event, with the potential for more surprises announced closer to the date.

Building tradition

Brewfest first launched in 2023 and has quickly grown into one of the League’s most popular community events.

It’s a fun way to support a serious cause - and we’re thrilled to see the community rally behind it.

Local businesses and organizations interested in supporting can contact the League at WLReadingMA@gmail.com.

While there aren’t volunteer opportunities tied directly to Brewfest, the League welcomes new members and community partners year-round. Those interested in joining or learning more can also reach out via WLReadingMA@gmail.com.
