LtE: In Support of Karen Herrick

We are writing to offer our full and enthusiastic endorsement of Karen Herrick for re-election to the Reading Select Board.

Over the past several years, we have come to know Karen as a determined and passionate advocate for all Reading residents. She has demonstrated strong leadership in fiscal responsibility, working to keep Reading affordable for families while ensuring our seniors are meaningfully included. Karen’s experience is evident in her resourcefulness, her creativity, and her steady approach to solving complex challenges facing our town.
Voting for Karen means supporting a welcoming and inclusive community, one where different viewpoints are respected and debated on their merits. Karen is tough, and she must be. We know exactly where she stands. Sometimes it doesn’t make you popular or well-liked, but she has our respect. There are no hidden agendas with Karen.

Trust and transparency are essential to good government, and Karen understands that government works best when residents can rely on their local officials. She has consistently shown her commitment to careful oversight, ensuring that town-supported projects and programs are thoroughly reviewed and truly serve the entire community, not just a select few. When concerns arise, Karen is responsive and always focused on what is best for Reading as a whole.
