Reading Public Schools will host the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers for a special community-wide cultural event on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 am on the Reading Town Common.
The program will include:
Live performances of traditional music and dance
Opportunities to learn about cultural preservation efforts
Community gathering and educational experiences for families and students
The performers’ work focuses on preserving and passing down Indigenous traditions to future generations while helping communities better understand the history and culture of Native peoples in the region.
