Chute Street temporarily closed for High Street Improvement Project

(1-minute read)

The Town of Reading is advising abutters, residents, businesses, and travelers that Chute Street will be temporarily closed as part of ongoing construction associated with the High Street Improvement Project.

During the closure, access to the Brande Court Lot will be maintained via a detour route through Woburn Street. Clearly marked signage and traffic control measures will be in place to guide motorists safely throughout the area.

These improvements are part of the Town’s continued efforts to enhance roadway conditions, pedestrian accessibility, drainage infrastructure, and the overall downtown streetscape experience.

For more information about the project, visit the High Street Downtown Streetscape Project page on the Town website.

All scheduled work is subject to change based on construction progress and weather conditions.
