The first day of the Division 3 State track and field championships is in the books, and already Reading has a state champion and a new school record. Senior Ryan Pulpi won the 200m in an incredible 21.11, the fastest time in the state this year and a new school record by almost half a second. Other scorers from the first day:

From a team perspective, Reading girls are currently tied for fifth with 19 points, while the boys are tied for fourth with 25 points. The majority of events will take place this weekend, so look for the Rockets to move up the ranks.
