RPD Open House canceled due to weather, reschedule coming soon

The Reading Police Department’s 2026 Open House, originally scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, May 30, has been canceled due to the anticipated weather forecast.

The department had invited residents to the annual community event, scheduled to run from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Reading Police Department, 15 Union Street. The open house was planned to feature police vehicles and SWAT equipment displays, RPD drone demonstrations, face painting with the Massachusetts State Police, participation from the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. military, bouncy houses, and free food for attendees of all ages.

A rescheduled date has not yet been announced. Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for an updated date.
