Downtown trick-or-Treat returns to Reading!
Pumpkin decoration in participating stores.
Ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses - get ready! It’s almost time for Downtown Trick-or-Treat, one of Reading’s favorite Halloween traditions. Grab your costumes and head downtown for an afternoon packed with treats, laughter, and community fun.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4:00 - 5:30 pm, local businesses will open their doors to hand out candy and celebrate the spooky season - rain or shine!
Participating stores will be marked with a pumpkin decoration (like the one pictured above). Families can begin anywhere along the route, and don’t forget to stop by the Pleasant Street Center, Police Department, and Town Hall to show off those creative costumes and collect more goodies.
This free event is open to children up to age 13, and all trick-or-treaters should be accompanied by an adult.
Come enjoy a fun and festive afternoon with Reading Recreation - it’s sure to be a boo-tiful time downtown!
