Library pass offers discounted walking

After a summer of fireworks, parades, and a flotilla of Tall Ships, the Reading Public Library is pointing residents toward a quieter way to take in the city’s revolutionary history. The library’s museum pass collection includes a discounted pass for Boston By Foot, which runs guided walking tours through Boston’s neighborhoods and historic sites.

Tours are led by guides who bring the city’s stories to life for visitors and longtime locals alike, covering the landmarks and lesser-known corners tied to Boston’s revolutionary past.

How to reserve a pass

Passes can be booked online through the library’s museum pass page or by calling the library at 781-944-0840.

Printable pages can be printed at home or shown on a mobile device at the museum. Coupon passes require pickup at the library, so patrons should check library hours before booking, as same-day pickup may not be available.

The library limits families to one pass per day and two passes per week during school vacation weeks. Most passes can be booked once per calendar month.
