NAACP Boston & Mystic Valley Area Branches Present: Juneteenth Nite Out, An All Black & All In Affair
An evening of celebration, entertainment, legacy, Black excellence, and elegance at the Casino Night Fundraiser on Saturday, June 20
The NAACP Boston & Mystic Valley Area Branches are proud to partner and host Juneteenth Nite Out: All Black & All In, a Freedom Fund Reimagined that will draw upwards of 500 guests from across Greater Boston and beyond, to be in community for a powerful evening of fun and long lasting impact.
In celebration of 115 years since the Boston Branch was first chartered, this collaborative and exciting event has something to offer all guests. This historic event will honor members and change makers, celebrate freedom and raise funds to support the ongoing work of the NAACP in our communities. The evening will feature a reception with live music and hors d'oeuvres, specialty cocktails, a casino-style experience, dancing and more.
As attacks on civil rights, equity, voting access, and more continue to challenge the fabric of our communities, the call for organizing and showing up has never been louder. This is not simply a season for celebrating freedom, it is a season for action, investment, and collective responsibility. This year’s celebration, themed “All Black & All In,” reflects our renewed commitment to community engagement, civil and social justice, and the protection of voting rights.
The Boston Branch was officially chartered on February 8, 1912, making it the very first chartered branch of the NAACP. For the past 115 years, the branch has remained steadfast in its mission to secure political, educational, social, and economic equality and to eliminate racial discrimination. The Mystic Valley Area Branch, founded in 1977 as the West Medford Branch, expanded its reach to proudly represent the communities of Arlington, Everett, Malden, Medford, Winchester, and Woburn. Together these branches embody a legacy of enduring commitment to justice across Greater Boston.
