A packed crowd gathered Saturday morning as Oasis Breakfast & Coffee celebrated its grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 454 Main Street in downtown Reading.
The new café, located in the renovated former Dunkin’ space, drew patrons of all ages, along with local officials, Chamber representatives, media outlets, and community supporters eager to welcome the new business to town.
A full house for the ribbon cutting
By the time the ribbon-cutting ceremony began on Saturday, April 25, the café was already bustling.

Inside, customers filled nearly every available seat while enjoying breakfast sandwiches, pastries, juices, and specialty coffee drinks.
A transformed downtown space
The café brings a completely refreshed look to the former Dunkin’ location, with a bright, modern interior that creates a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

A long coffee bar serving a variety of espresso and specialty drinks
Seating arranged along the windows, walls, and the center dining area
The updated design gives the space a noticeably different feel from its previous use, creating an open and lively café environment.
Expansion next door
In addition to the coffee shop, the business has also expanded into the neighboring storefront beside the former Jimbo’s location. The adjacent space now operates as Oasis Pizzeria & Roast Beef, under the same management team as Oasis Breakfast & Coffee.

Friendly service in a busy room
Even with a packed dining room and a constant flow of customers, staff members kept operations moving efficiently throughout the morning.
Employees regularly checked on guests, brought food directly to tables, and maintained a welcoming atmosphere despite the crowd. Patrons appeared enthusiastic about both the food and the service, with many continuing to fill the café well after the ribbon-cutting ceremony concluded.

The ribbon-cutting also highlighted the Reading-North Reading Chamber of Commerce's role in supporting new businesses and community events.
Saturday’s turnout reflected strong local interest in downtown investment and small business growth as Oasis officially opened its doors to the community.
