October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month
(1-minute read)
Each October, communities around the world come together to honor Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month - a time to remember the lives lost too soon and support families who have experienced the heartbreak of miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death.
Miscarriage, stillbirth, and other complications can cause pregnancy to end before or during birth, while infant death may occur due to preterm birth, birth defects, or other health conditions. Though these experiences are deeply painful and often isolating, they are more common than many realize.
Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, observed on October 15, offers an opportunity to unite in compassion and remembrance. Whether you’ve personally experienced loss or wish to support someone who has, this month reminds us all of the importance of empathy and community care.
Together, we can help ensure that all moms, dads, and babies are remembered, supported, and loved.
