Poetry by Richard Perry: A Message From Her

A Message From Her

Looking up to the clear blue winter skies

I remember her smile and beautiful eyes

In the whispering wind, I hear her say,

Don’t worry, my darling, for I am Okay.

I’ve watched you from heaven over the years

And seen you struggle through the pain and tears

I cherish the years we were man and wife

I’m so proud of how you’ve gotten on with life

Be strong, my darling, and don’t be afraid

The plans for your future have all been made

Live each day with joy and don’t fear the night

Praise God with your voice and continue to write

There are people waiting who need to hear

God is in control; there’s no need to fear

We were blessed to share such a wonderful life

As together we weathered the pain and the strife

So, remember I’m watching you from above

And you’ll always be my forever love
