Never Ending Tears

You’ve shed so many over the years

And think there will be no more tears

But slowly you begin to see

That this is never going to be

Just like the pain of love now gone

The tears of grief live on and on

They may seem over as time goes by

But suddenly you don’t know why

The smallest thing may touch your heart

Causing, once again, the tears to start

They live within where you hide your grief

Yet once they are out you find relief

It’s not a sign that your grief is gone

But you will find the strength to carry on

It is God’s design to help set you free

So you can live the life that’s meant to be

It does not mean a life free from pain

But He’ll pick you up again

He’ll walk with you to calm your fears

And comfort you when you shed tears.
