Town seeks volunteers for boards, committees, and commissions
(1-minute read)
Reading residents looking for a way to shape town policy and quality of life have until September 30 to apply for one of several open seats on town boards, committees, and commissions.
The town relies on these volunteer bodies to help form policy across a wide range of areas, and current vacancies include the Town Forest Committee, Trails Committee, Climate Action Committee, Board of Cemetery Trustees, among others. Residents interested in the arts, the environment, planning, or public service can find a full list of open positions and submit an application on the town’s volunteer opportunities page.
Applications are due by Wednesday, September 30, with interviews and appointments expected in October.
