Poetry by Richard Perry: Summer Morning

Summer Morning

 Soft breezes fill the air.

Waves roll gently on the shore

The sun’s rays sparkle on the sea;

Calmness fills my heart.

Gulls walk softly on the shore;

While others glide overhead.

I look up to the heavens;

Clouds drift slowly across the sky.

Freshness fills the air.

Problems seem to fade away.

What a blessing to be here.

Away from the problems of life;

A chance to spend time with God;

To share my burdens with the Lord,

Relieving the stress holding me back;

My hope is restored.
