Poetry by Tirzah Mason: What we lose to fear

 What we lose to fear

   Hallows out our souls

Drop by drop

Soundless

A silent scream

A twisting, ripping in the gut

Reducing us to fit

Into the smallest space

Our hope can carve

Into the future
