RCTV Studios announces Interim Executive Director and leadership transition

RCTV Studios has announced several organizational updates as it enters a new chapter of leadership, focused on continuity, transparency, and continued service to the Reading community.
Effective immediately, Deputy Executive Director Angela Merrill has been appointed Interim Executive Director. At the same time, the RCTV Board of Directors has formally launched a search for the organization’s next permanent Executive Director.
A moment of gratitude
The Board and staff expressed their sincere thanks to Phil Rushworth for his 26 years of dedicated service to RCTV Studios. During his tenure, RCTV evolved into a vital community media resource, offering residents access to local government meetings, educational programming, and opportunities for hands-on media experience.
Continuity and commitment
The Board of Directors emphasized its commitment to ensuring stability and uninterrupted operations during the leadership transition. Under Angela Merrill’s interim leadership, RCTV’s day-to-day activities will continue as usual, with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality programming and community access.
RCTV Studios reaffirmed its core mission - to inform, engage, and connect with the Reading community - as the guiding principle throughout this transition period.
