Reading Police to host R.A.D. women’s self-defense program in October

The Reading Police Department will host its Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) women’s self-defense program over four evenings in October, and registration is open now.

The hands-on course is designed to help participants build confidence, strength, and practical self-defense skills, and the department notes that participants can move at their own pace. The program is offered with support from the Women’s League of Reading.

All four sessions run from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on the following dates:

  • Night 1: Tuesday, October 20

  • Night 2: Thursday, October 22

  • Night 3: Tuesday, October 27

  • Night 4: Thursday, October 29
