Second override forum set for Tuesday at Reading Public Library

(1-minute read)

Reading residents will have another chance this week to hear directly from town and school officials about the proposed $6.5M operational override, this time in person.

The Town of Reading and Reading Public Schools will hold their second community forum on the override tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in the Community Room at the Reading Public Library. The session is in person, with a Zoom option for residents who cannot attend in person. The virtual link is here.

Watch the first webinar

The forum tomorrow follows the first override webinar, held August 6, at which town and school staff outlined the proposal and answered questions submitted by residents. Our coverage of the first session is available here.

Residents can watch the recording on the RCTV YouTube page.

Ask a question

Officials have described Tuesday’s session as one of several upcoming opportunities for residents to learn more and ask questions of town and school staff. Questions about the override can also be emailed to Override@ReadingMA.gov.
