Reading voters decide key races in April 7 Election

Unofficial results from Reading’s April 7, 2026, Annual Town Election show the outcome of several key local races, along with voter turnout data across the community.

Results are based on the Town Clerk’s unofficial election results on the Town website and will be upgraded once totals are finalized and Town Meeting Member results are fully verified.

  • Yes: 3,021 (68.2%)

  • No: 1,406 (31.8%)

The measure passed with a clear majority of votes cast.

Voter turnout

According to the election result data:

  • Registered voters: 20,817

  • Ballots cast: 4,934

  • Voter turnout: 23.7%

Precinct-level data show that Precincts 1 and 7 recorded the highest voter turnout percentages in the election.
