Sanborn Street watermain work

The Town of Reading and its contractor, Mass Pipeline Services, Inc., will be replacing the water main on Sanborn Street (Woburn St to Haven St). This is part of the Town wide water distribution system improvement program. Construction is scheduled to begin on September 10, 2025, and continue as weather permits.  

Road closures and detours are expected.  Access to properties and businesses will be maintained at all times.  The excavation will be filled in and the street made passable at the end of each day.

All properties will have full access to water during construction.  Notification will be provided prior to any planned water service shutdowns with water service being restored as soon as possible.
