Two crews from Reading Scout Troop 702 and their adult advisors spent Memorial Day weekend backpacking in southern New Hampshire in preparation for their 9-day trek in Cimarron, New Mexico, this summer.

With just days to go, residents are reminded to join Planting for the Future this Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Reading Town Forest in celebration of Arbor Day.

Scout Troop 702 and Pack 702 are pleased to announce that, after an exhaustive search, they have chartered with the Reading Rifle and Revolver Club. The decision was made based on the tremendous opportunities the club provides, as well as an alignment of mission and values, focused on dedication to the outdoors and conservancy, and youth leadership development.
