Reading Public Library (RPL), Reading, MA—The call went out for donations of personal care items for the Little Essentials Library cart and Reading, you delivered!
We received more than 500 travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, dental floss, and so much more! We received deodorant, tissues, shaving items, skincare, and beauty products. We’d also like to recognize and thank Owen Leonard, a senior at Reading Memorial High School, who personally organized a drive for the high school community, bringing in more than 100 items.
Now, we’re working to create an inventory and organize storage in preparation for our launch. The Little Essentials Library will be located at the Reading Public Library, in the Health Nook on the main floor. Thanks to your generosity, we plan to launch the initiative on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.
Watch our social media feed and newsletter for information about future donation drives, and in the meantime, the Little Essentials Library’s stock will be supported by the Reading Public Library Foundation. Thank you so much for your donations and support!
