U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley Endorses “No on 3,” Joining Growing Coalition Opposing Ballot Question

BOSTON, MA – Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) today announced her opposition to Question 3, the top-two primary ballot question, and her endorsement of the Voters Rights MA campaign to vote No on November 3.

"We can't let private equity and dark money groups rig Massachusetts primaries to shut out working class candidates, candidates of color, and first-time candidates in favor of those who have fast access to massive wealth and the biggest ad budgets," said Congresswoman Pressley. "I'm proud to join this broad coalition to oppose this harmful ballot question and keep power in the hands of the people. Vote No on 3."

Pressley joins a growing coalition of organized labor, grassroots organizations, progressive groups and elected officials urging Massachusetts voters to reject Question 3 to stop this takeover of our elections by a handful of wealthy billionaires.

“We are proud to have Congresswoman Pressley’s support of our coalition. Working-class candidates who knock on doors instead of courting wealthy donors are the ones who get pushed out. We need those voices in our government, not more private equity having a say. Massachusetts voters should reject Question 3,” said Jordan Berg Powers, chair of Voter Rights MA.
