Project Background

The Town received a $500,000 state grant to advance the design of Walkers Brook Drive. This builds on earlier planning and community feedback from 2023–2024.

Previously Identified Priorities

During Phase One in 2023-24, we heard the following:

  • Wider pedestrian sidewalks

  • Safer intersections & crossings

  • Slower vehicle speeds

  • Improved bike and transit

Current Project Scope

The Town received a $500,000 grant to advance the design of Walkers Brook Drive

  • 2026-2027 Schedule

  • Re-engage the community

  • High power production

Long-Term Goals

During this project and beyond, we will continue to:

  • Build consensus

  • Work with property owners

  • Pursue State grant opportunities

  • Review neighborhood connections
