Whitelam Books hosted first-ever Bookmark Design Contest
(2-3 minute read)
Whitelam Books brought art and literature together this spring with its first-ever Bookmark Design Contest, inviting readers of all ages to celebrate their favorite books through creativity and color. The contest ran from May 5 to May 24 and welcomed submissions from residents throughout the community.
Located at 610 Main Street in the heart of downtown Reading, Whitelam Books encouraged participants to design a bookmark inspired by a beloved book. The free contest was open to the public, and more than 100 entries were received across five age groups. A winner was selected from each category, with their designs to be printed and distributed at Whitelam Books throughout the summer.
In addition to having their bookmark shared with customers, each winner received 25 copies of their winning design to share with friends and a $25 Whitelam Books gift card.
Congratulations to the 2025 Bookmark Contest winners!
