Whitelam Books to host Annual Literary Pumpkin Contest October 24-31

(1-minute read)

Residents can put a creative spin on pumpkin season in the Whitelam Books Annual Literary Pumpkin Contest, running Saturday, October 24, through Saturday, October 31.

How to participate

Participants can carve or decorate a pumpkin that represents a favorite book or literary character. The design can be sweet, spooky, or somewhere in between, up to the creator. Bring entries to Whitelam Books for a chance to win.

All pumpkins will be on display in the bookstore throughout the contest, giving visitors a chance to stop by and see the creativity on view.

Prize and pickup

The winning pumpkin will receive a Whitelam Books tote bag and a $25 Whitelam Books gift card. Pumpkins must be picked up by Sunday, November 1, or they will be composted.
