After a winter filled with repeated snowstorms and accumulating snowfall, organizers have announced that Winterfest will be postponed due to conditions on the Town Common.

Event organizers shared that while a light snowfall might have added a festive backdrop to next week’s celebration, the reality is far different. More than two feet of snow, along with snowbanks reaching up to eight feet high around the edges of the Common, have significant;y reduced the usable event space.

With plans for more than 25 food, beer, wine, and local business booths, along with s’mores fire tables, ice sculptures, and several hundred expected attendees, organizers determined that the space is currently too limited to safely host the event.

As a result, the Chamber has made the difficult decision to postpone Winterfest while working with the Town to secure a new date in April. Organizers noted that, given this year's winter conditions, snow may still be lingering when the event returns.

A confirmed rescheduled date will be announced soon through official channels and on social media.

Residents are encouraged to stay tuned for updates as plans move forward to bring Winterfest back later this spring.
