DPW recycling center adds Saturday hours

Residents now have an additional day each week to drop off hard-to-recycle materials at the Reading DPW recycling center.
Hours
The Recycling Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. As of Saturday, July 11, it is also open on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
What’s accepted
The center accepts cardboard, waste oil, electronics, and Styrofoam - materials that don’t belong in curbside carts but can be dropped off at the DPW Yard instead.
The added Saturday hours give residents one more opportunity to recycle these items on their own schedule.
